Aoudad Hunt In West Texas
Aoudad, also known as Barbary sheep, is considered to be an invasive species in Texas. Their population has exploded since their introduction into the state back in the 1950's.
This is a free range hunt in the highly sought after desert mountains of West Texas on privately owned and managed land. It is a 5-day hunt but typically it takes less time. The outfitter has a 100% success rate for taking large Aoudad in his areas.
This aoudad hunt does include meals and lodging. Depending on the area the Aoudad are in, you might be staying at the cabin-style lodge, in tents or at a local hotel. The outfitter does use jeeps and ranch vehicles to get around but plan on doing some of the hunt on foot to get into some of the areas.
