Beceite Ibex Hunt in Spain
Beceite Ibex are the second largest Ibex in Spain and are located on the Eastern side. It's coat is not as dark as the Gredos ibex but the male Beceite have a very dark chest down to their front legs. The horns on the Beceite Ibex open sideways and stick out more than other species of Ibex.
The main hunting area is located in one of the most arid and rough corners of Spain. The best areas in this region are known for holding a larger population of ibex. The outfitter hunts on private land that is roughly 35,000 acres. The hunting area is based in canyons with rocky hills, low brush and plenty of streams running through it making for a stunning landscape.
There are two seasons for hunting, fall and spring. During the fall, the Ibex are in rut and males are busy chasing after the females. It's not uncommon to find some of the larger males in with a group of females. In the spring it's much different, the males are in large groups of their own as are the females.
