Black Bear Ocean Hunt From a Boat in British Columbia, Canada
This unique bear hunt is done from a 40 foot boat off the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. The outfitter owns the exclusive rights to over 400 miles of coastline that is inaccessible by roads. Fresh crab and prawns are caught throughout the trip and halibut fishing is usually productive during this time. The scenery on this hunt is truly breathtaking and the hunting is top-notch.
They use a 16 foot aluminum skiff to access tidal flats and estuaries where the bears feed on lush vegetation. Hunting is done by glassing and plan stalks is used when a bear is spotted.
The North Coast of British Columbia is home to some of the biggest black bears in the world. With lush vegetation, berries, high salmon runs and mild winters, these bears flourish. The average bear comes in at 6-1/2 to 7 feet tall with some topping out at over 7-1/2 feet. Skull size ranges around 17 to 21 inches.
This is a 7 day hunt with meals and lodging provided on the boat. This hunt is a base price for three hunters, meaning if you only have 1 to 2 hunters you will still need to pay as if there are 3 hunters.
Now booking 2022. Hunting is done between April 15 - May 30th.
