Coues Deer Hunt in Mexico
Coues deer are only found in southern Arizona and Sonora, Mexico. The Sierra Madre Mountains, in eastern Sonora, have an elevation of up to 7500 feet, and are covered in oak and mesquite with a mix of cactus and brush. This combination of habitat is perfect for the coues deer and make for a healthy and abundant population. Temperatures in the area can range between 30 to 70 degrees which suites the coues deer well. Coues deer hunting can be done with a combination of vehicles, horseback, and/or by walking. Hunting is done from sunup to sundown; then back to camp for clean up and dinner. Average shooting range on this coues deer hunt is about 200 yards.
There are a few spots available for this season from January to the first weekend in February.
