Elk Archery Hunt in New Mexico
This archery Elk hunt takes place in Western New Mexico in unit 12. Hunting is done in higher desert terrain at approximately 7500'. Although this is done at a higher elevation, it is considered one of the least physically demanding elk hunts. Archery season is in September which is during the pre-rut and middle rut cycle. This definitely presents you with some of the best opportunities to at the biggest bulls in the area. In the past, a few hunters have scored record bull elks. One hunter scored a 427" P&Y and another scored a 440"P&Y. Almost every year archery hunters get the chance at a 400 class bull but realistically you should expect a chance at a 300-360" + bulls. You will need to fly into Albuquerque, New Mexico one day prior to the hunt and drive to the lodge to begin your hunt. Price may vary depending on hunting dates, see pricing below.

This outfitter does have a Wounding Policy on all hunts. Any animal wounded is considered harvested and you must either recover the animal or spend the remainder of the hunt attempting to harvest it.
