Moose & Elk Combo Hunt in British Columbia, Canada
The outfitter's hunting territories have the perfect habitat for moose and elk. Bull moose range from 40" to 50", with 40" being the average size taken. Bull elk must have a minimum of 6 points on one antler to shoot. Most of the elk with 6 points average around 300". There is a 70% success rate for moose, and a 50% plus success rate for elk depending on the hunters ability to get around.
Hunting is done by spot and stalk. Hunting methods include hunting in swamps, lakes, old burns, meadows, logged areas, and old timber growth. To access these areas they will either use jet boats, drift boats, canoes, ATVs, and/or 4x4's, as well as hiking. Retrieval of your moose and elk might require it to be brought back to camp by either an ATV, horses, boats, or pack frames.
