Mule Deer Rifle Hunt in South Dakota
This rifle Mule Deer hunt takes place in Central South Dakota. The opportunity to spot and stalk on this hunt is extremely high due to the terrain and the peak rut dates. Most of this hunt is done by spot and stalk with occasional use of ground blind set ups. Expect to have several stalk opportunities on 160-180" bucks during your hunt. Rifle hunters have a 90-100% harvest rate on this hunt. This is a relatively easy hunt but come prepared to shoot 200-400 yards.
Rifle mule deer tags are done by draw. You will need to apply in mid April for a special landowner sponsored tag which typically takes 1-2 year to be drawn for. If you are not drawn your deposit will be rolled to the next year. There are no refunds for this hunt.
It is best to fly into Pierre, South Dakota but you can fly into Rapid City or Sioux Falls, South Dakota as well. You will need to rent a car to drive to camp.

- There is a $150 per night charge on 2x1 hunts if you want your own hotel room.
This outfitter does have a Wounding Policy on all hunts. Any animal wounded is considered harvested and you must either recover the animal or spend the remainder of the hunt attempting to harvest it.
