Shiras Moose Hunt in British Columbia
This is an 8-day, 1x1 guided hunt with meals and lodging provided. It is done out of the outfitters base camp and is a relatively mild hunt with a minimal amount of hiking involved. Expect to see shiras moose in the 42" to 50" range. You will need to fly into the Kelowna airport and drive 2.5 hours to camp. The exclusive guide area covers approximately 1600 square miles of hunting area. The main camps have log cabins with wood heaters and electric lights provided by generators. The base camp on Whatshan Lake also has hot showers. Depending on the time of year, the lake provides some excellent fishing.
