Spring Black Bear Hunt in Saskatchewan - 1203
This is a great value hunt concentrating on big bears; making it a great place to hunt bears that qualify for Pope & Young. The bears average in size from 6-1/2 to over 7 feet in length with skulls measuring 18-19 inches. This is a baited hunt done from ladder stands and hanging chain stands. The outfitter utilizes trail cameras to monitor the bears in the area and uses the photos to show you which bear to hunt. This hunt does give you an opportunity for a color phase bear.
You will fly into Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and rent a car to drive 2 1/2 hours north to camp. This is a 6-day hunt; arrive on Sunday, hunt Monday to Saturday and depart on Sunday. It does included accommodations at their lodge that has 7 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms.
Your day will start with breakfast in the morning, and around noon they will serve the largest meal of the day before you head out to hunt at 1pm. Your guide will drive you to the stands which are about an hour away from the lodge. They will set you up for your hunt and come back for you at dark. After your hunt, they will serve you a light meal which is typically a sandwich.
Date available for 2023 are May 14-21 (opening week, 2 spots) or June 11-18 (last week of season, 4 spots). You arrive on a Sunday and depart on a Sunday.
