This Coast Black Bear hunt takes place in what is considered to be one of the best places for Black Bear hunting. Vancouver Island has long been renowned for its abundance and size of black bears. It's definitely considered a bucket list hunt for most hunters.
Spring Black Bear hunting is from April 1 to June 15th. This hunt is conducted on the oceans beaches and estuaries, and does have some low elevation mountain hiking. They use 4x4's and boats to access the hunting areas.
Fall Black Bear hunting is from September 10 to October 30th. With thousands of salmon returning to the area to spawn, the focused hunting area is around the many streams that flow across the island. With the abundance of fish, the bears are naturally drawn to the streams to gorge themselves. The outfitter uses 4x4's and boats to access the hunting areas with some moderate hiking involved.
