Some of the best Moose hunts are in Alaska, with prime habitat and undisturbed areas these magnificent creatures thrive. The outfitter offers some of the best moose hunts in Western Alaska. This has 10-day of actual hunting with 1x1 guide services.
This is a spike camp hunt with tents, cots, and sleeping pads that are provided. The hunt itself, is a spot and stalk hunt which will require glassing and calling from hill tops. We would consider this a moderate hunt until it comes time to pack your moose out. Since the animals can weigh up to 1200 lbs and all the meat has to be brought in from the field, it can take multiple trips to get the meat, cape and antlers back to camp. You can hire a packer (outfitter can provide one) to pack your moose out for you for $400 per day. You will need to discuss this with the outfitter prior to your trip.
They also offer a moose hunt in unit 17/19. It is a 10-day hunt with hunting season dates of Sept 5-20. A grizzly bear can be added to this hunt for a trophy fee plus the cost of the tag. Tag: $325, Trophy Fee: $10,500

Meat/Trophy Shipping: We will take care of getting your meat/trophy from the field to Anchorage to the Wildlife Gallery via lake Clark Air. We don't have the facilities to flesh, salt and dry your hide in the field it will be done at The Wildlife Gallery in Wasilla. They charge $850 for turning, salting, drying, and cleaning the skull plate and/or bear skull. They will also take care of sealing the bera for you. We recommend you have them mount your moose or bear but if you have your own taxidermist they will take care of shipping it to the taxidermist of your choice. Shipping cost will depend on location. There are meat processors in Anchorage and you will have to make arrangements for your meat processing once your meat arrives from the field. If you choose to donate your meat we will sign over to Lake Clark Air and they will distribute to families that can use the meat.
