Weemsi Desert Bighorn Sheep, Hunt in South Baja, Mexico
The Weemsi Desert Bighorn Sheep is a subspecies that can be found from La Paz, the southern part Baja California Sur state, up to Guerrero Negro, and into North Baja state were you can find healthy numbers of this rams. The outfitter has access to 370,000 acres of mountains with spectacular views to the Sea of Cortez. Their hunting season runs from late November through late April. You can combine this hunt with some great deep sea fishing or relax in one of the luxury resort on peninsula.
Safety is the main priority for this outfitter. From the time you arrive, during your hunt and up to your departure, their team will be in charge of making the hunt as accessible as possible to any client.
Most to the hunts are based in west African style tented camps with bathrooms, toilet, electricity and all the equipment and services needed to make you comfortable at camp. Keep in mind the use of spike camps during the final approach is very common and will not have all these amenities.
